Double-French Braids w/Messy Flips
This braid hairstyle is perfect for gymnastics and sports, requires that you already know how to do a basic French braid. This is one of the hairstyles I use the most, and we call them Soccer Braids back home. One of these days I will manage to post a French Braid instruction, but not today. Sorry if that prohibits you from doing this fun hairstyle.
**Note: This hairstyle creates great curls for a “second day” To do. I will post that tomorrow.
Items needed: Comb, brush, water bottle and two rubber bands.
Time requirement: 7-10 minutes
Competence level: Average
Step by step instructions:
1. Start by parting the hair in the middle. I started with a zig-zag across the top, then straight across the back.
2. Starting from the middle of the head, continue a starting part at the back of the head. You will now have two sections of hair. Elastic or clip one side apart.
3. Now braid one section into a long French braid.
4. When you get to the end of the braid, leave about 2 inches of braided hair. Flip the whole braid over on itself and tie it all together.
5. Repeat the process on the other side of the head and rake the ends so they are fluffy and full.
