“2nd-Day Do’s”: Curls from Double-French Braids

Day two hairstyles are some of my favorites in terms of ease and speed!

If you wear {simple, French or Dutch} braids, bantu knots or something like that… the next day you will have beautiful curls to use as a base for another hairstyle!

Items needed: Comb, brush, lacquer

Time requirement: 2 minutes

Competence level: Easy

Remove the braids from the day before and brush the hair. The hair will look like this…

Spritz VERY lightly with water in places where the hair is a little too fluffy or stretches oddly. Rat the top of the hair near the crown. (For rat hair: take the front section of hair and run the comb from the middle of the section of hair towards the head. This goes against the natural grain of the hair and forms a kind of tuft or “nest rat” of hair.) Once you get the wanted puff then take the comb and comb very gently over the top layer to smooth out any awkward spots…

Add a headband. Use hairspray to fluff up and wrap the hair around the back of the headband…
