Looking at the Reemergence of the Punk Hairstyles

Punk HairstylesYes, that punk hairstyles is coming back in full force. Once it was popular in the 1970s when that punk music first came into the limelight. Now many celebrities and others are wearing this style of hair again. Men and women alike are giving the punk hairstyles new life and bringing it back into style again!

Back in the 70s it was more about dying your hair and spiking it up. Now there are many ways that even a professional can wear their hair in this style. Though in a professional setting you may opt not to change your hair color, or not to spike it even. But men you can still pull out a great looking punk style anyway.

A good example of a celebrity male who has this punk style is Sum 41 member Deryck Whibley. He has colored hair and has spikes that go all over the place. When you want that Mohawk look, they say you should cut your hair. The hair that won’t be spiked up should be down to about a length of three eights to half an inch. Though the Mohawk part can be kept at any length you may want.

While if you’re going to dye that hair to make it stand out more, you will want to pick a different color. Say purple, blue, green or something like that. While the job you hold may require a more moderate style or look. A good example of something that can be used both ways would be Billy Joe Armstrong’s hair. This member of Green Day has a shorter style of hair one that could be worn normal during the day. While at night you will spike it up into a great punk look.

Though this isn’t a style for everyone, if you’re a conformist you will most likely not like this style. Though if you want you can have a conservative look during the day, and a punk look while you’re not at work.

There is a faux style of Mohawk that you can even use. One that isn’t dyed and won’t need to be spiked unless you want it to be. While if you want the full out Mohawk and don’t have a job that they will mind it at, you can use color and everything.

Many different styles are possible when it comes to a punk look. Short, long, or medium hair can all be used, depending on what look you like the most. Combining different styles, colors, and such can even give you a look that is all your own.
